Super eclipse: Special treat dazzles skywatchers
INLAND EMPIRE – (INT) – Skywatchers were focused on the heavens Sunday evening for the last total lunar eclipse of the decade.

It was the first total lunar eclipse visible in its entirety across the U.S. since 2010 and the last one until 2021.

It began at 7:33pm reaching totality between 9:12pm and 9:43pm. A veil of high clouds cleared away in time for the heavenly spectacle.

The San Bernardino County Museum offered telescope viewing in partnership with the San Bernardino Valley Amateur Astronomers (SBVAA).

The eclipse will coincided with a ‘supermoon’, meaning that the moon is a bit closer to Earth in its orbit around our planet and thus appeared slightly bigger in the sky.
