Witnesses say that two motorists may have been involved in a speed contest before one vehicle spun out on the I-215 in San Bernardino Friday and plunged into a concrete wash. A passenger, Gabriel Simmons, 18, of Riverside, was killed. Witnesses estimated the vehicles were southbound near Orange Show Road at 90 miles an hour. A silver/white sedan left the scene. A large sum of cash was found at the scene, the California Highway Patrol’s incident log stated. (INT)
