Assemblymember Eloise Gómez Reyes (D- San Bernardino) has responded to the needs of California’s aging population. She has admitted a bill that would establish the California Care Corps Act. High school graduates and college students would be encouraged to spend one to two years providing care for senior citizens in their community. There are more than 5.5 million Californians who are over 65 years old, a number that is expected to double in the next 12 years. (INT)
