Truckdrivers in Riverside come under scrutiny Authorities are waging a full-court press on truck drivers in Riverside. During a 4-and-a-half-hour checkpoint Tuesday on Van Buren Boulevard, 80 commercial trucks were inspected and 46 citations issued. Eleven trucks were immediately sidelined and one was impounded because the driver was not licensed. Violations involved improper or expired registration and insurance, hazardous materials, brakes, lighting, tires, load securement, and axle restrictions. (INT)
