MORENO VALLEY – (INT) – Landmark Middle School is getting back to normal after Tuesday’s fights that injured 23 students.

School officials are trying to determine why students were acting hostile toward each other before fights broke out.

Sheriff’s deputies responded but the students refused to disperse. Saturation rounds of Pepperball were fired to regain control. Several of the injured students were taken to a hospital for medical observation.

A 14-year old girl was arrested for her involvement in the school disturbance.
