Cause of Skyforest plane crash announced
“Downdraft conditions” contributed to the January 2018 crash of a small plane into a parking lot at Skyforest in the San Bernardino Mountains. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) said the pilot had failed to attain proper air speed after take-off from the San Bernardino International Airport and flew too close to a ridgeline. Ultimately, the small plane suffered an aerodynamic stall. Four people aboard the plane survived, but the pilot suffered serious injuries. (INT)
