EDD: Job growth unabated during First Quarter INLAND EMPIRE – (INT) – The latest employment picture for Riverside-San Bernardino counties is a rosy one for the First Quarter of the year.
Joblessness during February slipped to 4.3 percent which is slightly under the state’s rate of 4.4%. During the past 12-months, the Inland Empire added 18,300 jobs, the State Department of Employment (EDD) estimated. Educational and health services posted the greatest year-over gain. Healthcare and social assistance accounted for roughly 88 percent of the payroll increase. On the down side, there were losses in services, construction, financial activities and manufacturing.
