Inland area job growth slowing but only slightly INLAND EMPIRE – (INT) – A minor uptick in unemployment pushed the region’s rate last month to 4.5 percent. The compared to 4.3 percent in February.
The Employment Development Department (EDD) estimated the Inland Empire’s job growth the past 12-months at 20,600, or 1.4 percent. Educational and health services registered the largest employment increase over the year. Most of the employment expansion was concentrated in healthcare and social assistance. Year-over employment gains were also recorded in government, trade, transportation, leisure and hospitality, professional and business services.
