Foreclosure crisis hit hard at Hispanic communities
INLAND EMPIRE – (INT) – A new analysis showed that local Hispanic neighborhoods were among the most-affected during the foreclosure crisis.

The Zillow® analysis found that many owners of foreclosed homes have yet to fully recover.

When the housing market crashed, many homes lost a significant share of their value, especially among homes that were ultimately foreclosed.

Foreclosed homes in many Hispanic communities have more than doubled in value since reaching their lowest point, though they remain 4.7 percent and 9.5 percent below their peaks.

Nationally, 19.4 percent of all foreclosures between 2007 and 2015 were in Hispanic and black communities.

In the Inland Empire, 61.8% of foreclosed homes were in Hispanic communities. That was second only to San Antonio, Texas in the nationwide 37 market analysis.
