HIGHGROVE – (INT) – Riverside County sheriff’s deputies have ramped up their campaign against street racers and their so-called ‘sideshows’.

A weekend event attracted more than 100 vehicles and several hundred more spectators to Highgrove.

Lawmen moved in issuing citations for alleged crimes related to the event.

One participant led deputies on a 100 mile an hour pursuit into Loma Linda. Jovanni Bello, 19, was arrested on felony charges. His vehicle was impounded.
