Fast-moving storm could get an encore
SOUTHLAND - (INT) - Potent west winds are sweeping across the mountains and deserts behind a weather front that brought rain to most of Southern California Thursday.

The Air Quality Management District has hoisted another blowing dust advisory for the Coachella Valley and desert areas of Riverside County. Gale-force winds whipping up dust and sand will create unhealthy air quality through Friday.

Thursday's storm was short-lived with varying amounts of rain.

Going forward into the weekend, the next low pressure system will bring more cooling, a 60 percent chance of showers and gusty winds Sunday. There could be a lingering chance of more showers into the middle of next week.
