California refineries meeting gasoline supply demand
SOUTHLAND – (INT) – Summer vacationers about to head out on the road are encouraged by falling gasoline prices.

The Automobile Club of Southern California (ACSC) predicts even lower numbers in the coming weeks.

Southland pump prices have headed downward for more than a month and are now within a dime of those that drivers were paying this time last year. The retail statewide average is $3.85 a gallon for 87 octane regular.

In Riverside, the average per-gallon price is 25 cents lower than last month. In San Bernardino, the $3.80 average price is nine cents higher than a year ago today.

“California refineries are experiencing the highest productivity since last November, so we expect pump prices to continue dropping,” ACSC said.
