High winds may bring power outages
VICTORVILLE – (INT) – The High Desert may be the first area of the Inland Empire to be impacted by self-imposed power outages.

Southern California Edison posted a ‘watch list’ Thursday saying it may implement a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) because of dry, windy weather from Lucerne Valley, across the Victor Valley and into the Antelope Valley of Los Angeles County.

Caltrans warns the electrical outages will black out traffic signals.

The power outages are an outgrowth of the wildfire danger which has been made worse by fallen power lines and other electrical equipment failures during high winds.
