Eastvale marijuana grow houses flourish EASTVALE – (INT) – The fledgling city’s reputation of illegal marijuana grow houses is still intact.
Homes on Alderwood Avenue and Laurelwood Avenue that had been converted to indoor marijuana cultivations were raided Friday. Search warrants served by the Eastvale Special Enforcement Team and a regional gang task force turned up 4,732 marijuana plants and 70 pounds of processed marijuana. The estimated combined full harvest street value was $4,258,800. The theft of electricity to power the cultivations was worth $60,228. Two men from Rosemead were arrested on suspicion of illegal marijuana cultivation and possession with intent to sell and theft of utilities. In recent years, dozens of Eastvale homes were found to have been converted into marijuana grow houses. Most of those arrested resided in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County.
