New majority will lead Riverside City Council
RIVERSIDE (INT) There will be a new majority on the Riverside City Council after the November election. Mike Gardner became the last of four incumbents who decided not to seek re-election this year.

Gardner failed to garner a majority of all votes in the June primary and was forced into a run-off by newcomer Erin Edwards. But, Gardner announced on his Facebook page Friday that he is withdrawing from the Ward 1 contest effectively giving Edwards the victory.

Meantime, match-ups have been set in the three other council races in the forthcoming November 5th election.
