Drug abusers, homeless exposed to Hepatitis A
SAN BERNARDINO – (INT) – Hepatitis A, an acute viral infection that affects the liver, is showing up more often in San Bernardino County.

There have been 15 cases so far this year as compared to only two during the same period in 2018.

At highest risk are drug abusers and homeless individuals.

Hepatitis A is being transmitted by contaminated needles and other injection equipment, sexual contact or because of poor sanitary conditions.
