AGUANGA – (INT) – The spread of a potentially large wildfire was stopped in a little over 2-hours Tuesday.

It flared up in a sparsely populated area off Highway 371 near Lake Riverside Drive.

An air and ground attack was mounted by both Calfire and the US Forest Service.

The flames covered about 81 acres at last report.

Smaller fires flared Tuesday in Reche Canyon north of Moreno Valley and at the desert community of Landers.
