Police take down homeless encampments
SAN BERNARDINO – (INT) – There’s a renewed effort to reverse homelessness in the downtown area.

Crews and district resource officers cleaned up 9 illegal homeless encampments on Tuesday while maintaining clean and clear alleyways in hopes of reducing crime and blight in surrounding neighborhoods.

Police officers on horseback rode into transient camps disbursing several individuals and handing out citations to others.

An arson suspect was arrested Wednesday and was linked to multiple arsons in the downtown area.
