West Nile virus debuts, first community spraying completed
NUEVO – (INT) - The arrival of West Nile virus has become as certain as summer.

The disease has been confirmed in a sampling of mosquitoes in this Riverside County community east of Perris.

The season’s first application of mosquito insecticide was applied Monday over a 216 acre area including Mystic Field.

Vector control officials say the ultra-low volume ground applications use truck-mounted sprayers moving through the area.

Applications call for use of EPA-approved Zenivex.
