MORENO VALLEY – (INT) – Two people who survived Thursday's crash and burn police chase have been identified.

Phillip Moreno, 47, of Moreno Valley and Aliett Saldana, 28, of Highland are facing multiple charges.

Sheriff's deputies attempted to stop the pair initiating a chase down Bay Avenue in their stolen vehicle ending in a fiery crash that touched off a 5-acre wildfire.

When the flames were finally quelled, two homes, three outbuildings and nine vehicles were damaged or destroyed. Two other homes were damaged.

Calfire says that 87 homes were under an evacuation order or a warning in an area on Cottonwood Avenue east to Elsworth Street.
