MENIFEE – (INT) – ‘Ruby’ is safely back home after a 10-day odyssey, an apparent victim of dog nappers.

Sheriff’s investigators swung into action August 10th when the Yorkshire Terrier imported from Russia was reported missing by her family in Menifee.

Aided by a microchip number embedded in her skin, investigators found the dog exchanged hands three times eventually ending up with a Santa Ana woman.

Investigators went to the woman’s home where Ruby was scanned and identified as the missing dog.

Ruby was reunited with her owner’s special needs daughter
