TB testing encouraged at Cal State San Bernardino
SAN BERNARDINO – (INT) – Active tuberculosis has turned up at yet another Inland Empire location.

A student at Cal State San Bernardino (CSUSB) is receiving treatment and will return to school upon clearance from the San Bernardino County Department of Public Health (DPH).

About 400 students and employees may have been exposed to the illness between April through August.

The students and employees that were identified will receive emails with information about testing.

“While the risk of infection is low, it’s important for those who have been identified to take the time to get tested,” said Dr. Erin Gustafson of the county Health Department. “Treatment is available for those who test positive.”
