$50,000 reward offered in ‘cold case’ murder
SACRAMENTO – (INT) - Governor Gavin Newsom has announced a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrators of an unsolved murder from 20 years ago.

On February 23, 1999, Teresa Gomez Madrigal, 33, went grocery shopping in Riverside County, and never came back. Her body was found the next day in San Diego County, more than 60 miles from where she lived with her husband and children. She had been shot multiple times.

Ms. Madrigal’s case has been featured in local media for the past 20 years.
