Mosquito control efforts applied in two communities MORENO VALLEY – (INT) – Mosquito control efforts are being stepped up in Moreno Valley and Nuevo to stem the spread of West Nile virus.
Truck-mounted sprayers took to the streets Tuesday in Nuevo and Wednesday in MoVal. Ultra-low volumes of Zenivex were applied over a 220 acre area near Mystic Field in Nuevo and another 270 acres of Moreno Valley. That area is bordered by Cactus Avenue to the north, Moreno Beach Boulevard to the east, Delphinium Avenue/John F. Kennedy Drive to the south, and Nason Street to the west. That area also tested positive for St. Louis Encephalitis which mosquitoes are known to carry. Story Date: September 22, 2019
