California is ranked the 6th highest state in energy rankings, according to WalletHub. The state rises to 4th for auto energy efficiency, but drops to 13th in home energy. New York state did best overall and states in the southeast the worst. WalletHub was out to gauge the financial impact of doing more with less energy. (INT)
