Refineries resolve issues, gasoline prices on a decline
SOUTHLAND – (INT) – Gasoline prices have been on a yo-yo the last few weeks, but are starting to drop again and may be on a sustained decline.
The Automobile Club of Southern California says refinery issues have, apparently, been resolved.
“Oil industry analysts are predicting some significant price drops in December as well based on lower production costs for local refineries,” the Auto Club’s Jeffrey Springs said.
At the pump, the statewide average is $4.07 a gallon for regular 87 octane gasoline.
In Riverside, the average per-gallon price is $4.02, which is 16 cents lower than last month. In San Bernardino, the $4.05 average price is 32 cents higher than a year ago today.
California switched to the cheaper winter blend of gasoline as of November 1st.
