Woman survives pit bull attack, owner found dead
PERRIS – (INT) – The owner of two pits bull that attacked a woman has been found dead inside his home.

Sheriff’s deputies made the grim discovery Thursday while investigating the incident on Corina Road.

Animal control officials said the woman had been walking and pushing her bicycle along the rural road in the Good Hope area. Two dogs severely mauled the women before neighbors came to her rescue ending the attack.

The dogs were traced to a nearby home where a gate had been left open allowing the dogs to roam free.

The owner’s body was badly decomposed, but cause of death was not immediately determined.

Both dogs were micro-chipped and the owner had licensed both of them. Those licenses, however, expired in June.
