INLAND EMPIRE – (INT) – The ground beneath Riverside County has been shifting.

A series of unrelated light earthquakes Sunday jiggled widely separated areas from the deserts to the mountains.

A pair of M3.5’s were traced to an area in the lower Banning Pass east of Cabazon and another Sunday afternoon north of Indio. It was preceded by a foreshock and 36 aftershocks within 12 hours after the main event.

The Southern California Seismic Network also reported mini temblors near Anza, Aguanga, Idyllwild and near Loma Linda. Most were too weak to be felt and there was no reported damage.
