INLAND EMPIRE – (INT) – Employment across Riverside and San Bernardino counties has eclipsed 2-million.

Over the past 12-months, employment rose 2.1 percent with the addition of 31,900 jobs. The State Employment Development Department (EDD) said “Roughly 98 percent of the job growth was concentrated in healthcare and social assistance.”

Six other sectors reported year-over job gains, but the most noteworthy came from government, trade, transportation, and utilities, leisure and hospitality and professional and business services.

October’s jobless rate was 3.7 percent reflecting some of the lowest rates in the past 40-years.
