Schwarzenegger pursues budget solution by Christmas
LOS ANGELES--Governor Schwarzenegger used the busy 405 Freeway as a backdrop Monday to scold state lawmakers for delaying infrastructure projects, including the 405’s widening.

The governor declared that “California is on a track to disaster”. But, he toned down his rhetoric saying.

“There is good news. We are negotiating with the legislative leaders and we made some progress. We will continue because I am absolutely convinced that we can have agreement before Christmas.”

If not, Schwarzenegger says California will run out of cash by February.
