Residential real estate getting year end stimulus
INLAND EMPIRE – (INT) – The 2-county housing market may be crawling out of its doldrums.
CoreLogic reports that sales of new and existing homes rose 11.4 percent in Riverside County during October.
Sales prices in San Bernardino County the past 12 months rose 5.2 percent to $350,000, still the cheapest in the 6-county Southern California region. By comparison, the media sales price in Riverside County hit $395,000. That compares to the Southland average of $535,000.
CoreLogic attributes the quickening sales pace to lower mortgage interest rates. The inventory of homes for sale continues to lag.
