MoVal gun dealers sentenced in terrorism investigation
RIVERSIDE – (INT) - A Moreno Valley woman was sentenced to 5-years formal probation after pleading guilty to 70 charges that she and her husband were dealers of illegal firearms.

Sarah and Bearl Leach were indicted in May 2018 for manufacturing and selling assault weapons out of their home. Some of the firearms were custom-designed for the buyer and were unregistered, becoming so-called ‘ghost guns’.

Sarah Leach, 29, was given 35 terms and conditions for her probation November 22nd, according to court records. She was ordered not to own or possess any firearms or ammunition.

Bearl Leach, 34, earlier pleaded guilty.

The indictment against the couple stemmed from threats made by them and a subsequent investigation by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department and the FBI’s Inland Empire Joint Terrorist Task Force.
