Southwest Riverside County hotbed for illegal pot HEMET – (INT) – Riverside County authorities are realizing how pervasive the illegal cultivation of marijuana has become.
Hundreds of tons of growing and processed pot is being seized as authorities serve search warrants mostly in rural areas in the western and southwest portions of the county. In the latest operation Monday, four tons was confiscated from unincorporated areas around Hemet and Juniper Flats. Evidence included sheets of marijuana wax and several firearms.
