Presidential candidates campaign in Southern California MORENO VALLEY – (INT) – Climate change was on Bernie Sanders’ mind as he pushed his New Green Deal during a campaign stop Friday in Moreno Valley.
Sanders was the first of the major 2020 presidential candidates to visit the Inland Empire. The Vermont senator presided at a town hall-style visit at Marinaj Banquets & Events on Alessandro Blvd. and then headed to San Ysidro High School near San Diego. Sanders was scheduled to appear a rally with New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Saturday in Venice. Meantime, Mayor Pete Buttigieg held a town hall on Latino issues at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut Friday. Vice President Joe Biden was in Los Angeles where he surprised voters at the Oaxacan restaurant Guelaguetza in Koreatown. Story Date: December 23, 2019
