Deputies involved in second, deadly officer-involved shooting
MUSCOY – (INT) – A young Yucaipa man is the second person in two days to die in an officer-involved shooting in San Bernardino County.

Sheriff’s deputies had tried to stop Juan Ayon-Ruiz for reckless driving on the 210 freeway Thursday night.

A high speed chase ensued and didn’t end until Ayon-Ruiz drove off the freeway and hit a mailbox.

According to a sheriff’s statement, when Ayon-Ruiz rammed a patrol car he was shot and fatally wounded. His 2-year-old child was in his father’s car but was unhurt.

On Wednesday, sheriff’s deputies said they had to resort to lethal force when they confronted a murder suspect on the I-15 just south of the Nevada State Line.

KCSO in Bakersfield reported Madison Carroll Adams, 27, had been wanted for killing his 55-year-old mother earlier that day at a Kern County residence in Golden Hills.
