STEM jobs at global epicenter, not only in Silicon Valley
Those seeking high-paying, stable jobs that are in fierce demand might want to check out opportunities in STEM – science, technology, engineering and math.

WalletHub examined the nation’s 100 metro areas and placed San Francisco and San Diego in the top ten. Sacramento came in eleventh.

Riverside was 80th, ranking highest in friendliness but near the bottom in quality of life.

STEM professions are expected to grow 8.8% over the next 10 years compared to 5% for other professions. The median STEM wage is $84,880 or more than double for all non-STEM occupations.

According to Bureau of Labor statistics, software developers can expect the most job growth.

STEM workers can expect higher salaries and boast good job security compared to other types of jobs.
