Inland Empire posts healthy job growth in 2019
INLAND EMPIRE – (INT) – Final figures from the State Employment Development Department (EDD) issued Friday showed a healthy gain in new jobs during 2019.

It was estimated the 2-county region added 30,900 jobs.

Educational and health services led the increase with health care and social assistance adding the most.

Six other sectors saw a rise in employment during 2019. Those were professional and business services, government, trade, transportation, and utilities, leisure and hospitality, manufacturing, financial activities, and information.

The EDD said 2019 ended up with a December unemployment rate of 3.5%.
