Brookfield Renewable is downsizing its field of wind generators below the Banning pass. It plans to remove 460 wind turbines at one site in the Whitewater area and another 159 at the Alta Mesa wind farm. They will be replaced with 25 wind turbine generators which will be taller and more efficient. Brookfield says it will reduce their footprint in the Whitewater area while increasing its ability to generate clean, renewable wind energy. (INT)
