County Clerk braces for Valentine’s Day weddings
SAN BERNARDINO - (INT) - Valentine’s Day is one of the busiest days of the year for the San Bernardino County Clerk.
On average, 18 marriage ceremonies are performed per day by staff. On Valentine’s Day, that number quadruples.
“Valentine’s Day is a very popular day for County Clerk staff to perform marriages,” said San Bernardino County Assessor-Recorder-Clerk Bob Dutton. “This year, we are expecting a bigger turnout than usual since Valentine’s Day falls on a Friday.”
Additional marriage rooms and staff will be available to handle the increase in marriage ceremonies on Valentine’s Day.
The fee for the Public Marriage License is $89 and a Confidential Marriage License is $90. The fee for a Marriage Ceremony is $65.
