$225 million brings relief to a Route 210 bottleneck
HIGHLAND – (INT) – Improvements are coming to the 210 freeway in the East San Bernardino Valley.

Two projects costing $225 million should increase traffic flow and eliminate a major bottleneck, the San Bernardino County Transportation Authority (SBCTA) said.

A groundbreaking ceremony Wednesday launched work on a lane addition between San Bernardino Avenue and Sterling Avenue. Baseline will be widened on both sides of the 210 Interchange in Highland. Pavement improvements are also planned on existing lanes of the 210.

“The planned improvements to the 210 go a long way toward addressing congestion and safety concerns along this heavily traveled corridor, while creating economic, environmental and quality of life improvements for our entire region,” said Darcy McNaboe, President of the SBCTA.
