Californians warned to be aware of opportunistic tricksters SACRAMENTO – (INT) - A consumer alert has been issued about deceptive advertising related to novel coronavirus — or COVID-19 — in California.
Californians should be aware of any products or services that falsely claim to treat, diagnose, prevent, or cure COVID-19. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the World Health Organization, there is no vaccine to prevent COVID-19, nor is there a medicine that treats or cures coronavirus. “Do not be hustled by opportunistic tricksters claiming to have a miracle cure. There is not a cure for COVID-19,” said California Attorney General Xavier Becerra Story Date: April 22, 2020
