Virus pushes gasoline prices lower and lower SOUTHLAND – (INT) – As Southern Californians leave their vehicles parked longer, no one is predicting when the coronavirus will ease and folks get back into their cars.
The average price for a gallon of 87 octane regular – statewide - is about to slide below $3.00. In Riverside, it’s $2.95 and in San Bernardino $3.01. It’s now 60-cents a gallon below a year ago. Demand continues to weaken. “California reformulated gasoline production fell by more than 25 percent and inventories increased over the past week, so we expect to see retail prices continue to decline,” Auto Club spokesman Jeffrey Spring noted Story Date: April 9, 2020
