California closing the gap on virus ventilators
SUNNYVALE – (INT) – California is meeting the demand for more ventilators.

At the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, California had approximately 7,500 ventilators across its hospital systems.

The state set a goal of adding an additional 10,000 ventilators. To date, the state has added 4,252 ventilators, approximately 1,000 of which needed to be refurbished.

Through a partnership with the state, Bloom Energy of Sunnyvale is working to refurbish ventilators in real time. Bloom Energy expects to refurbish around 100 ventilators daily.
