HEMET – (INT) – Another sweep of rural areas south of Hemet has taken lawmen to five large pot farms. Seven people were arrested.

Five search warrants were served Thursday near Hemet, San Jacinto and the community of Sage.

More than 4-thousand-500 plants were eradicated and another 163 pounds of processed marijuana was collected.

Several containers of toxic pesticides that have been banned were located.

Among those arrested on suspicion of marijuana cultivation were four residents of Sage, two from Menifee and another from Hemet.
