'Moment at 7' celebrated through May
REDLANDS – (INT) – Sundays could get a little noisy in Redlands.

Residents are being encouraged to take a moment each Sunday at 7pm to go outside, ring bells, sound gongs, play instruments, bang on pots and pans of just give a cheer for those caring for the people of Redlands, the nation and the world as the COVID-19 pandemic rages.

The call comes from the Redlands Area Interfaith Council and the Redlands Service Club Council.

Mayor Paul Foster says the ‘Moment at 7’ honors health care workers, first responders, grocery store employees and others leading the way through the pandemic. The ‘Moment’ is each Sunday at 7pm through the end of May.

In Riverside, the historic Easter Sunrise Service atop Mt. Rubidoux has been cancelled for only the third time in its 111 year history. Trails leading to the top of the mountain are closed because of the coronavirus.
