Riverside County adds walk-in COVID testing sites
MORENO VALLEY – (INT) – Riverside County is expanding its ‘walk-in’ testing sites for the coronavirus.
Health officials are adding new coronavirus walk-in testing sites in Corona and San Jacinto and moving the Mead Valley state testing site to Temecula.
Testing at Corona Senior Citizens Center 921 S. Belle Ave. in Corona and at 790 S. State St. in San Jacinto starts Tuesday May 26 and continues Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
These will be the fourth walk-in sites operated by the county in addition to Moreno Valley and Cathedral City. Four other sites are drive up locations in Indio, Lake Elsinore, Perris and Riverside.
Testing at Crossword Christian Church in Moreno Valley and the Cathedral City Public Library will continue Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. The church is located at 21401 Box Springs Road, while the library is located at 33520 Date Palm Drive.
“As we continue our response to this epidemic, we have refocused our efforts to test as many Riverside County residents as possible,” said Kim Saruwatari, director of Riverside County public health. “These two sites and others that are in the planning process will help reach that goal.”
So far, more than 96,000 Riverside County residents have been tested.
