Winds amplify warming sunshine
INLAND EMPIRE--Winter weather is at its warmest thanks to the weekend bout of Santa Ana winds.

Forecaster Noel Isla notes it’s a complete turnabout from December’s cold, damp storms.

“The jet stream is a bit farther north and it’s rounding the high pressure that’s situated over the Eastern Pacific.”

While that ‘high’ protects us from incoming storms, those are being shunted into the Pacific Northwest where flooding has cut highways and inundated towns.

Here in the Southland, there’s no sign of rain for at least the next 10-days. None has fallen this month in many communities.
