Gasoline prices rise as demand grows
SOUTHLAND – (INT) – Gasoline prices are still lower than a year ago, but the gap is narrowing.
Pump prices are up for the seventh straight week to a statewide average of $3.06 for a gallon of 87 octane regular.
In the Inland Empire, Riverside is at $3.04 and San Bernardino $3.03. The 2-city average is 22-cents higher than last month.
California Energy Commission Fuels Report showed that California-blend gasoline production is down about 15 percent from this time last year, which is the second-highest level of weekly production since the COVID-19 shutdowns began.
