WalletHub: Inland Empire has a lot to learn
INLAND EMPIRE – (INT) – The inland region did not score well in the latest comparison of the most educated areas in the nation.
WalletHub compared the 150 largest metropolitan statistical areas, or MSAs, and placed the Inland Empire 135th.
Six of the bottom 10 MSA’s were in California with Visalia/Porterville trailing in last place.
Scoring among the highest were the Bay Area at #5 and San Diego 26th.
WalletHub’s data set ranged from the share of adults aged 25 and older with a bachelor’s degree or higher to the quality of the public-school system to the gender education gap.
As for the quality of education ranking, the Inland Empire placed 81st among the 150 MSA’s it studied.
