California’s jobless may benefit from Disaster Relief Fund
WASHINGTON – California has won approval for a FEMA grant that will implement a system to make funding available for those unemployed.

California could provide the unemployed $300 per week on top of the regular jobless benefit.

Up to $44 billion is available from FEMA’s Disaster Relief Fund to provide financial assistance to Americans who have lost wages due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

California officials have agreed to administer a lost wages program for its citizens who are unemployed because of the pandemic.
